We believe that there is only one true God (Is 45:22). We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Three in one: the trinity (Gen 1:26, 2 Cor 3:14).
God created the earth and mankind in 6 literal days and rested on the seventh day (Ex. 20:11). God created the whole world and all of us perfectly good (Gen 1:31). In the Garden of Eden, God had perfect relationship with people and even walked in the garden with them (Gen 3:8).
We believe that God gave humans freewill, the ability to choose (Gen 2:16-17, Deut 30:19). In the Garden of Eden people were given the choice to listen to God (Gen 2:16) and they rebelled, rather choosing to listen to themselves and Satan (Gen 2:6, 2:7).
We believe the consequences of sin began in the Garden of Eden and death, sin, and separation from God are all direct results of the sin that occurred that day (Gen 2:14-19, Rom 5:12). The bible states that we are all sinners (Rom 3:23). We all suffer pain, death and separation from God as a result (Is. 59:2, Rom 5:12).
We believe, as a result of the fall, everyone's physical life will end, but the Bible tells us that our spirits are immortal (Dan 12:2). When our spirits leave this mortal body they are destined to heaven or hell (Dan 12:2, Ecc 12:7, Matt 25:46).
We believe hell is a real place as described in the Bible (Matt 8:12, Mark 9:47-48). It is a place of eternal suffering and separation from God (Luke 16:26). We believe hell was created for the evil of Satan and his demons but it is a place that all humans who choose to remain separated from God will also go (Matt 25:41).
We believe heaven is a real place as described in the Bible (Rev 22:1-5). It is a place of eternal joy and relationship with God (Rev 21: 1-4). We believe heaven is only for those who have believed in God and Jesus Christ whom He sent to save us from our sins (John 17:3, John 3:36, John 14:6).
We believe in Satan, demons, and angels as described in the Bible. Angels are spirit beings that worship and do the work of God (Heb 1:6, Heb 1:14).
Demons are angels that have fallen and have refused to worship and do the work of God (Jude 6, Rev 12:4). They are led by Satan in their rebellion (Rev 12:9).
From the moment of initial sin in the Garden of Eden, God began shaping a rescue plan to restore a relationship with people (Gen 3:15, Gen 12:2-3). The Old Testament is full of accounts of people that tried to follow God and failed on their own. We believe that God sent His own son, Jesus to pay the price of our sin (death), so that we could have a restored relationship with God and a path to heaven (John 3:16).
We believe that salvation cannot be earned through works, that salvation is by faith alone and by God’s grace alone (Eph 2:8-9). We believe that faith is shown to be true faith by our works (James 2:18).
The Bible says that "If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)
We believe that once a person is saved, they are sealed with the Holy Spirit and cannot lose their salvation (Eph 1:13-14). No one can snatch them from God’s hand (Jn 10:28-29) and nothing and no one can separate them from God’s love (Rom 8:38-39).
We believe that Jesus was fully God and fully man (Phil 2:5-8). We believe that He lived a perfect life (1 Pet 2:22, Heb 4:15) and performed many miracles (Jn 5:36) that proved that He was the promised savior (Messiah) (Matt 16:16) that would be able to save us from our sins (1 Jn 3:5). We believe that He died for our sins and paid the price for our souls so that we could have a restored relationship with God and go to heaven (Col 2:13-14, Acts 13:38-39). We believe that He was resurrected from the dead 3 days after His death on the cross and that He has conquered sin and death (1 Cor 15) and is coming back again (John 14:3, Rev 1:7).
We believe that the Bible is true in its entirety (Ps 119:160) and was written by God through the hands of men that He selected (2 Pet 1:21). It contains all we need for life and godliness (2 Tim 3:15-17). We believe that the Bible is complete and that we are not to add or take away from His words (Rev 22:18-19).
We believe that baptism is commanded in the Bible (Matt 28:19-20) and it is one way of openly declaring that God has buried a person’s sins in Jesus’s death and has raised them to new life through faith in His resurrection (Rom 6:4). Baptism in the Bible is always shown as a declaration of faith after salvation (Acts 2:41, Acts 16:14-15, Acts 8:35-36).
We believe that prayer is our communication with God. We are to pray at all times and in every situation (Ph 4:6-7). We are to pray to God alone, since He alone is our rock and our salvation (Ps 62:1-6, Is 43:10-11). We do not need any human or priest to intercede on our behalf as the Bible states that Jesus is our mediator (1 Tim 2:5) and high priest (Heb 4:14-16) and the Holy Spirit intercedes for us before God (Rom 8:26-27).
We believe that God refers to all believers as members of His body, the church. The Bible describes that all believers are to teach and admonish one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs (Col 2:16). Got has sent pastors, teachers, and evangelists to help Christians grow to maturity and to equip us (Eph 4:11-13). The Bible states that we are to stimulate each other to love and good deeds and not to neglect gathering together (Heb 10:24-25). He states that he has given each spiritual gifts for the good of the church (1 Cor 12: 7)
God has called us to lay aside the sins of our former lives (Col 3:5-10) and to walk in a manner worthy of Jesus (Col 2:6).
We believe that God made men and women (Gen 1:27) and designed marriage to be between one man and one woman (Gen 2:21-24). We believe that homosexuality and sex outside of marriage is considered unrighteousness and wickedness by God (Rom 1: 26-32). We believe that God hates divorce and marriage is intended to be a commitment that is never broken (Mal 2:16).
We believe that God values human life and does not condone the taking of life in both the born and unborn (Ex 20:13, Prov 6:16-17, Ps 139:13-16)
We believe that Jesus will return to earth again as described in the Bible (Rev 1:7). We believe that God will sustain the earth until that time (Ps 104:5).
We believe that before Jesus’s second coming to earth, His church will be snatched up (raptured) to meet him in the air (1 Thess 4: 13-18, Matt 24:40-41), before the final tribulation comes upon the earth (1 Thess 5:9). We believe that the Bible teaches of a final 7-year period of tribulation that will come upon the earth as a last chance for salvation and as judgement for those that refuse His call (Mark 13:19-20).
In the end times, God will do battle with Satan and the evil forces of this world and will win the victory (Rev 19: 20-21, 20:19). God will wash away all sin, suffering, and death and create a new heaven and earth for those that have trusted in Him (Rev 21:1-4).
